I had my level II sonogram today and the lady kept going back to look at the heart. She told me the baby had a calcium spot and that it was nothing and told me "It's a mole on your skin, it's not going to cause any defects". It's a GIRL!! I'm so excited about having a 2nd daughter!! Everything went pretty well. We've decided to name her Ava Claire. She was very very active and they aren't positive but they think they only saw 2 vessels in the cord. They said this could mean nothing. So according to my ultrasounds I'm now 15 weeks. 14 weeks 4 days going by LMP.

My baby still has a strong heartbeat (heard it twice yesterday) and everything seems to be going great!

I however keep getting UTIs so they are going to keep me on a preventive antibiotic for the rest of my pregnancy. Lots of yogurt in my future! I've always had problems ( Read more... )

I'm 20w5d. We had our ultrasound today. We found out that it’s a girl but that there are cysts on the baby's head. I have had the AFP blood test done, the results were completely normal. My doctor is going to schedule a level 2 ultrasound at the local university. How common are cysts? Should I be worried? Any comments or knowledge on this matter ( Read more... )

i just left my 28week apt, and my doctor said i was measuring small (24weeks to be exact) and said for the nurse to schedule a level 2 ultrasound to determine sizes and dates. i kind of panicked and he told me not to that its very common, and the baby moves alot so it could just be the position, plus i have a very long waist.. so my bump seems to ( Read more... )

Has anyone ever been told that their baby may have one of these? I got a call today from the doctor with the results of my ultrasound and they said they may see one in the left part of the baby's brain. I immediately start tearing... I feel like this entire pregnancy has been one mess after another. Just when I think I get a handle on things, something else goes wrong. I'm so incredibly jealous of my sister, who had a VERY easy pregnancy and birth. Her son was perfectly healthy throughout the pregnancy and she gave birth to a ten pound baby and had one tiny first degree tear. ( Read more... )
